Luis ‘King Kong’ Ortiz has a chance of facing Dillian Whyte on December 22 if Dereck Chisora doesn’t want the fight for if it can’t be negotiated, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

Hearn says he must know by week which of the two heavyweights that will be facing Whyte on December 22. Hearn likes Ortiz or Chisora for Whyte. It’s just whichever makes the most sense.

Conlan, the talk of the 2016 Summer Olympics, will take on Nicola Cipolletta (14-6-2, 4 KOs) in an eight-round featherweight bout Saturday, Oct. 20 at Park Theater at Park MGM on the undercard of Ryota Murata’s WBA middleweight title defense against Rob Brant (10:30 p.m. ET).

OAKLAND, Calif (Sept. 28, 2018) — Jose Uzcategui, the IBF super middleweight world champion, moved up to light heavyweight for a non-title bout while he awaits his first title defense. He took care of business and won a clear unanimous decision against Ezequiel Maderna on Friday evening at the Oracle Arena. Scores were 100-90, 100-90, and 98-92.

Next up for Uzcategui is a return to 168 pounds, where he will defend his world title.
