LAS VEGAS (Oct. 17, 2018) – Ryota Murata, one of Japan's most revered sporting heroes, is ready to make his debut as a Las Vegas headliner.

Murata (14-1, 11 KOs), a 2012 Olympic gold medalist, will defend his WBA middleweight title against Rob "Bravo" Brant (23-1, 16 KOs), Saturday at MGM's Park Theater. In the co-feature, Maxim "Mad Max" Dadashev (11-0, 10 KOs) will defend the NABF super lightweight belt in a 10-rounder versus former world champion Antonio DeMarco (33-6-1, 24 KOs).

OMAHA, Neb. (Oct. 13, 2018) — The crowd roared in anticipation and the native son, Terence “Bud” Crawford, delivered. Crawford (34-0, 25 KOs), following a contentious pre-fight buildup, defeated Jose Benavidez Jr. by 12th-round TKO to defend his WBO welterweight world title in front of 13,323 fans at the CHI Health Center Omaha.

Crawford improved to 12-0 in world title fights with one of his most emphatic knockouts. An uppercut knocked Benavidez down and a vicious follow-up combination ended things for good.

Former two division world champion Andre Ward says Jose Benavidez Jr. put himself in position where he initiated a harsh reaction from WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford on Friday when he shoved the Nebraska native at their weigh-in for Saturday.

Crawford tried to punch Benavidez Jr. (27-0, 18 KOs) with a right hand that missed. The fighters were pulled apart before either of them could land anything, but it was a surprise that Crawford attempted to land a punch when pushed by Benavidez. Crawford showed that he was willing to take things to a different level.
