Few things generate excitement like a heavyweight boxing clash. Tonight’s bout couldn’t set the tone any better, as the world will be treated to an international firefight of epic proportions.
Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner says if Eddie Hearn wants him to fight Devin Haney, he’ll need to come up with the $20 million that he’s asking for to take that fight. Other than that, Broner (33-4-1, 24 KOs) says he’s happy in retirement and making millions without fighting. If Hearn wants Broner to take the fight with Haney, he’s going to need to come up with the dough he’s asking forThe former four-division world champion Broner says, “I’m loaded”, in letting the media know that he’s not hurting for money. Broner feels that if he comes back for the fight against the smaller, younger fighter Haney, he won’t get credit for beating him because he’s bigger and more experienced. Haney is only 21-years-old, so it would be a no-win situation for Adrien.

LAS VEGAS (Feb. 18, 2020) — As fight night nears, boxing legends, world champions, celebrities and more shared their predictions for the highly anticipated rematch between unbeaten WBC Heavyweight World Champion Deontay "The Bronze Bomber" Wilder and undefeated lineal champion Tyson "The Gypsy King" Fury ahead of the historic, mega PPV event this Saturday, February 22 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
It seems that whatever happens this Saturday night in Las Vegas when heavyweight rivals Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury collide in their second fight, we fans will not be watching the two giants share a ring for the final time. Fury, speaking with Sky Sports, has confirmed that there is a rematch clause in place, one that will allow Saturday night’s loser to demand a third fight.
Devin Haney says he doesn’t understand why Ryan Garcia is talking so much about wanting a fight with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis because he doesn’t see that as a realistic option at all for him. Haney (24-0, 15 KOs) believes that a fight between him and Ryan (20-0, 17 KOs) is a match that can EASILY be made between his promoters at Matchroom and Ryan’s with Golden Boy Promotions.Haney wants Garcia to stop ducking him, and make the fight happen this year. Unfortunately, the Golden Boy star Garcia, 21, has already mentioned the next three fights he wants in 2020, and none of them include Haney.
With just five days to go before Saturday’s compelling rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, Top Rank Bob Arum is anticipating tremendous success for the fight card on pay-per-view.Arum is predicting once again that the Wilder-Fury 2 fight will bring in a minimum of 2 million pay-per-view buys, thanks to the combined efforts from Fox Sports and ESPN in marketing the contest.
Deontay Wilder has improved more with his game than Tyson Fury has, says trainer Teddy Atlas. He says he noticed the improvements to Wilder’s delivery system for his right hand two fights ago when he fought Dominic Breazeale. Atlas feels that Wilder (42-0-1, 41 KOs) is a better fighter now the one that fought Fury (29-0-1, 20 KOs) two years ago in 2018, and barely escaped with a 12 round draw.
WEDNESDAY was my birthday and ever since 2016 I’ve not been too keen on the usual birthday celebrations. So I said to myself since my dad went to Heaven (the proverbial “much better place”) on this day in 2016, maybe I should also go myself to paradise? And that’s why I found myself on board a full PAL flight to Caticlan and on the island some call “paradise” by noon of the same day.Read more ...
