OXNARD, Calif. (Oct 23, 2018) – WBA lightweight world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko was at home at the Boxing Laboratory as he prepared for his next challenge. Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KOs), who has won world titles in three weight classes in just 12 pro fights, will seek to unify titles for the first time as a pro when he takes on WBO champion Jose Pedraza (25-1, 12 KOs), Dec. 8 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden (ESPN and ESPN Deportes, 9 p.m. ET).

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 23, 2018) — NABF welterweight champion Egidijus “The Mean Machine” Kavaliauskas is closing in on a world title opportunity. WBO Intercontinental champion Roberto Arriaza, a knockout artist from Nicaragua, is standing in his way. Kavaliauskas and Arriaza will square off on Friday, Nov. 16 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City as the co-feature to the previously announced Maurice Hooker-Alex Saucedo WBO junior welterweight title fight.

LAST WEEK Filipino boxing icon superstar Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao announced that his next possible fight is in January next year against former world champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner of the United States.

Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller (22-0-1, 19 KOs) and Fres Oquendo (37-8, 24 KOs) will be battling it out for the vacant WBA ‘regular’ heavyweight title on November 17 at Atlantic City, New Jersey. It’s not much of a fight unfortunately, but there’s not many fighters in the WBA’s top 15 that could stand up to the power and size of Miller right now.

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 20, 2018) — Rob Brant came into the ring a heavy underdog. He left it a champion. Brant, from St. Paul, Minn., toppled Ryota Murata by unanimous decision to win the WBA middleweight title in front of 2,782 fans at the MGM’s Park Theater in Las Vegas.

Hughie Fury (21-1, 11 KOs) needs a win over former world heavyweight title challenger Kubrat Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs) next week on October 27 in their IBF title eliminator to earn a title shot against International Boxing Federation champion Anthony Joshua. At this point,

Fury, 24, is just hoping the 37-year-old Pulev doesn’t pull out of the fight with an injury at the last second like he did last year when he was the mandatory challenger to Joshua.

Pacquiao said he would be fighting Broner next, either on Jan. 12 or Jan. 19. The fight, which Pacquiao termed "90 percent" done, would likely take place in Las Vegas. However, a source with knowledge of the deal told ESPN the fight would be Jan. 19, not Jan. 12, though a fight likely wouldn't be formalized until he settled his tax issues with the U.S. government.

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 18, 2018) – There has been a lot of talk about future big-name opponents for WBA middleweight champion Ryota Murata. For now, he's focused on the task at hand, Saturday's title defense against Rob "Bravo" Brant at MGM's Park Theater in Las Vegas.
