The UFC’s next fight card in Australia will feature the “Super Samoan” in the main event.

UFC officials confirmed with MMAjunkie that heavyweight fan-favorite Mark Hunt will take on Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night in Sydney this November. A formal announcement is expected to be made next week.

Throughout his entire career, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been known as a counter-puncher and defensive wizard. His patented shoulder roll has won him fights against some of boxing’s elite, such as Oscar De La Hoya, Canelo Alvarez, and Manny Pacquiao, among many others.

The UFC returns to the Saitama Super Arena in Japan for a Fight Night event on Saturday, September 23rd. Due to the time zone difference, the card is technically on Friday, September 22nd for North American viewers. The main event is a rematch between light heavyweights Mauricio Rua and Ovince Saint Preux, as Shogun looks for revenge after he was knocked out in 34 seconds by OSP in their first fight. Hopefully no skateboards are thrown into the cage this time.

The UFC is looking to have Anderson Silva headline a big show in China later this year.

It didn’t happen in Brazil, but it could happen in China. A bout between middleweight legend Anderson Silva and rising star Kelvin Gastelum had been scheduled for UFC 212 after Gastelum defeated Vitor Belfort. Unfortunately for Gastelum, a positive marijuana test led to a suspension, ending the idea of it happening there.

Eleven events in eleven weeks for the UFC, and this dizzying ride comes to an end with a nicely packaged small event that put its Latin American talent on display. Mexico City played host to a card that may not be the most memorable or consequential overall, but made for a few highlight reel moments and added to the development of some fighters on the roster.

With Paulie Malignaggi’s departure, Chris Van Heerden says he is willing to return to Conor McGregor’s camp, under one condition.

Former IBO welterweight champion Chris Van Heerden was one of the first professional boxers tapped by Conor McGregor’s camp to become one of their sparring partners. The two fighters worked together in 2016, in preparation for McGregor’s rematch against Nate Diaz at UFC 202 in August of that same year.
