The UFC Mexico City co-main event saw Alexa Grasso pick up the split decision victory over the UFC’s #9 ranked strawweight Randa Markos. Both competitors went right after each other, with each finding success in the opening round with their strikes. Markos found her stride in the second stanza, as she was able to take down her opponent and unleash some unanswered ground strikes. Grasso would rally late in the final round, coming alive with her boxing down the stretch, to ultimately earn the hard fought victory over a ranked opponent.

**It should be noted that Alexa Grasso missed weight (119 lbs.)

Right hook/leg kick combo from Grasso. Markos threatened to spin. Grasso with a body kick and a nice combination. She clinches up and lands knees to the thigh. Markos looked for a throw but Grasso took her back and pulled her down. Grasso landed a few elbows on the ground before they returned to the feet with 40 seconds to go. They battle in the clinch for a bit. Grasso with a leg kick. 10-9 Grasso.
