The highly ranked and totally untested #2 WBO Jeff Horn (16-0-1, 11 KOs) is thinking about the millions he’ll get if he can upset 38-year-old Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KOs) to take his WBO welterweight title in a little over 2 months from now on July 2 at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia. A victory for the 29-year-old Horn would make him a big name in Australia, and that would obviously mean money for him over there.

Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis says IBF champion Anthony Joshua is facing the 41-year-old Wladimir Klitschko at the right time in his career with him coming off of a loss to Tyson Fury and a 2-year layoff from boxing. In Lewis’ opinion, the Ukrainian Wladimir has lost his legs and can’t move as well as he could earlier in his career. Lewis thinks that Wladimir will hang up his gloves after a loss to the 27-year-old Joshua.

Former IBF junior middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (25-0, 19 KOs) says he’s moving up to the 160 pound division, and he’s going to whip both Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs after he moves up to that weight class. Charlo, 6’0”, would be a very difficult fight for Golovkin and Jacobs. With the power, size and speed Charlo possesses, he’d be a definite threat to both of them. We don’t know how good Charlo’s chin is because he hasn’t been hit by a big puncher yet.

Make no mistake about it: Manny Pacquiao will defeat Australian challenger Jeff Horn at his own backyard in their WBO championship match on July 2. The former schoolteacher from down under has absolutely no advantage against the eight-division champion, save his height and youth, which do not pose any threat to the Pacman even at this late stage in his career.

Trainer Freddie Roach says there’s a possibility that former eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao will be facing lightweight champion Mikey Garcia in his second fight of the 2017 after he gets done with his July 2 title defense of his WBO welterweight belt against Jeff Horn. Roach says the Horn (16-0-1, 11 KOs) fight is a tune-up to get the 38-year-old Pacquiao ready for a potential much bigger fight against Mikey Garcia (35-0, 30 KOs).

It’s not Errol Spence’s intention to try and blast out IBF welterweight champion Kell “Special K” Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) earlier than middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin did in beating him by a 5th round knockout on September 10 last year, but he still wants to get him out of there in a better fashion. Brook and Spence will be fighting on May 27 at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, England.

Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. (21-0, 18 KOs) does not care one bit that he’s going to be fighting in front of a huge 30,000 supporters of IBF welterweight champion Kell “Special K” Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) in their fight next month on May 27 at Bramall Lane, in Sheffield, England. Spence says Brook’s boxing fans will not be able to help him inside the ring on the night.

Brook will have to try and handle the talented Spence all by his lonesome, and it could be awfully hard for the 30-year-old Brook to do that. Brook has fought only one good welterweight in his career in Shawn Porter in 2014, and he had to hold him all night long to survive.
