    The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) takes a break from featuring active sports and competitive events and gives spotlight to a calm, serene way to fitness—grounding or earthing in the upcoming webisode of Rise Up Shape Up this Saturday, November 6.

    Grounding or earthing is a science-backed therapeutic technique that reconnects you to nature as you step and feel the earth or ground. As explained by earth science, when the feet get direct contact with the ground, one’s body is electrically charged by the earth and has positive effects on the body. It is said to help reduce physical and mental stress as well as prevent and treat inflammation and immune diseases.

    The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is inviting sports-minded individuals to an open learning experience called MAKE It Sports. The project is a module-based, asynchronous learning opportunity for people from all involvements in sports. Registration for the program will start on Friday.

    MAKE in “MAKE It Sports” stands for Modules for Asynchronous Knowledge Enhancement. The aim is to provide information on different topics in everyday life which touch the boundaries of sports like law, medicine, economics, technology, among many other topics.
