NEW YORK (March 6, 2018) — After more than 13 months away from the ring, FELIX ‘El Diamante’ VERDEJO makes his long-awaited return on March 17 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. Verdejo (23-0, 15 KOs), from San Juan, Puerto Rico, will face Antonio Lozada, Jr. in a 10-round lightweight special attraction on the undercard of the St. Patrick’s Day world title extravaganza featuring Irish sensation MICHAEL CONLAN and the World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Lightweight championship bout between JOSE RAMIREZ and AMIR ‘Young Master’ IMAM.

PHILIPPINE boxing idol Manny Pacquiao said his next opponent would be either world champion Lucas Matthysse or Danny Garcia in Malaysia in May or June, after rejecting an undercard offer to face Mike Alvarado.

Pacquiao told ABS-CBN television in an interview aired Tuesday that his camp had narrowed the choices down to World Boxing Association welterweight champion Matthysse, of Argentina, or the American former WBA super-welterweight and World Boxing Council welterweight champ Garcia, who was unbeaten until last year.

Filipino lightweight Michael “Hammer Fist” Farenas, who has only fought once since 2015, is reviving his boxing career with a comeback on April 7 against Mexican Guadalupe Rosales.

The match is part of Dekada Fight Night at the Gray Eagle Resort and Casino in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Farenas (42-5-4 34 KOs) said that this battle against Rosales (34-14 18 KOs) will “create a lasting memory” for him in boxing.
