If everything works out as planned against Robert Helenius (25-1, 16 KOs) this Saturday night, #3 WBC Dillian Whyte (21-1, 16 KOs) says he wants fights against three heavyweights in his next 3 fights: Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker (25-0, 18 KOs). Whyte’s chances of getting the fights in that order is questionable at beat. Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn is still trying to get WBC heavyweight champion Wilder to agree to face Whyte on February 3.

Lee, 33, also is interested in fighting one of the champions, and he’d like to fight the winner of the Gennady “GGG” Golovkin vs. Saul Canelo Alvarez fight or the winner of the Billy Joe Saunders vs. David Lemieux fight for those titles.

2016 Olympic super heavyweight silver medalist Joe “Juggernaut” Joyce is picking Anthony Joshua to take care of business this Saturday night in his title defense against Carlos Takam (35-3-1, 27 KOs) in their fight at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Joyce, 6’6”, expects Joshua to get Takam out of there quickly and with ease when he squares off with him. Joyce knows what it’s like to be inside the ring with Joshua, as he sparred with him in the past, and he’s rumored to have knocked him down.

WBO #3 Jack Catterall (19-0, 10KO’s) defeats Tyrone Nurse (35, 3, 2, 7KO’s) in a Lancashire/ Yorkshire derby to claim the British super lightweight title by unanimous decision. The 3 judges scored it 118 to 111, 115-114 and 116-113, however Nurse was the home fighter and the 118-111 was probably the fairest scorecard.

IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua says he will be fighting WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder next year in a blockbuster fight. Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, however, has given Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) the conditions for them to get the fight with Joshua by saying he first must face and defeat Dillian Whyte (21-1, 16 KOs).

If Wilder wins that fight, then he can get the Joshua fight.

Heavyweight prospect Joe Joyce (1-0, 1 KOs) looked impressive in his pro debut in battering and stopping war horse Ian Lewison (12-4, 8 KOs) in the 8th round of a scheduled 10 round fight at the Indigo at The O2 Arena in London, England.

The 6’6” Joyce hurt the exhausted and flabby looking Lewison with a left to the head in round 8. Joyce then followed up with a series up heavy power shots that led to Lewison’s corner throwing in the towel to have the fight stopped. The official time of the stoppage came at 2:35 of round 8.

Unbeaten WBA World light middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade (24-0, 16 KOs) weighed in at 160 pounds for his first fight at middleweight on Saturday night against Alantez Fox (23-0-1, 11 KOs) at the Turning Stone in Verona, New York.

Fox, 25, weighed in at 159.9 lbs. The Andrade vs. Fox fight will be televised on Saturday night on HBO “Boxing After Dark.” The start time for the Andrade-Fox fight is at 10:05 p.m. ET/7:05 p.m. PT.
