It’s disappointing that the circus exhibition bout keeps on getting that much attention from the major sports media puppets and instead this solid boxing bout it’s been quite overlooked.

Former WBC super middleweight champion Badou Jack (21-1-2, 12 KOs) will be back inside the ring soon this month in challenging WBA World cruiserweight champion Nathan Cleverly (30-3, 16 KOs) on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor card on August on Showtime PPV at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is planning on making it an offensive fight against Conor McGregor on August 26. Mayweather says he owes it to the boxing fans to pay them back for his fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015, which the fans weren’t pleased with. The fans were upset at both fighters for their lack of aggression.

Mayweather says he’s not going to make it defensive against the 29-year-old McGregor when he meets him on Showtime pay-per-view at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez isn’t ruling out a potential future fight against UFC star Conor McGregor if he beats Floyd Mayweather Jr. on August 26. However, Canelo doubts that McGregor will be able to pull off a “miracle” upset of the 40-year-old Mayweather in their fight on Showtime PPV at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Canelo probably smells opportunity knocking if he can get a crack at McGregor. There’s a lot of money to be made fighting the UFC star, and there’s very little threat.

Former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony “Bomber” Bellew (29-2-1, 19 KOs) says he’ll be fighting in December, and he feels he’s closer to a fight against light heavyweight champion Andre “SOG” Ward than he is in a rematch with David Haye. Thanks to a timely Achilles tendon injury Haye suffered in their fight on March 4, Bellew, 34, was able to stop him in the 11th.

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum was overjoyed with his fighter WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko’s victory over Miguel Marriaga last Saturday night in saying he hasn’t seen anyone like him with his skills since Muhammad Ali. The fight between Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs) and Marriaga (25-3, 21 KOs) was televised by ESPN in front of a small crowd of 4,102 boxing fans at the Microsoft Arena in Los Angeles, California.

122-pound champion Guillermo Rigondeaux saw WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko’s win over 2nd tier fighter Miguel Marriaga last Saturday night, and he believes he can knockout the 2-time Olympic gold medalist if the two of them face each other. Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs) defeated Marriaga (25-3, 21 KOs) by a 7th round stoppage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The fight was televised on ESPN.

WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs) easily beat Miguel Marriaga (25-3, 21 KOs) by a 7th round stoppage on Saturday night in a fight televised by ESPN at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Lomachenko knocked Marriaga down in rounds 3 and 7. At the end of round 7, Marriaga’s corner had the fight stopped. Referee Jack Reiss stopped the fight at the request of Marriaga’s corner. The official time of the stoppage came at 3:00 of round 7.

Unbeaten American heavyweight Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (19-0-1, 17 KOs) is hoping to get a fight against former Anthony Joshua victim Dillian Whyte (19-1, 15 KOs) in the U.S. Miller believes he’ll knock Whyte out if that fight happens.

Miller has been interested in fighting Whyte for some time, but he’s had no luck in getting him inside the ring. Whyte, 29, isn’t the one that makes his fights. His promoter Eddie Hearn is the match-maker for Whyte, and he’s been cool to the idea of putting him in with the 6’4” Miller.
