Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) surprised a lot of boxing fans on Thursday when he announced on Twitter that he would be fighting 3 times in 2018, starting in April. Fury hasn’t fought in 2 years, doesn’t have a boxing license to fight, and he was as big as a house in recent interviews. Of course, Fury says all kinds of things on Twitter on a weekly basis. It’s hard to take him seriously at this point because he changes his mind so frequently.

Former WBC welterweight champion Victor “Vicious” Ortiz (32-6-2, 25 KOs) says he’ll be back inside the ring in December to fight Josesito “The Riverside Rocky” Lopez (35-7, 19 KOs) in a long-awaited rematch between them.

Ortiz revealed the news of his rematch with the 33-year-old Lopez on his social media site. As of now, there still isn’t a set date of location for the rematch other than Ortiz sag the fight will take place in December.

Former heavyweight world title challengers Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (18-1, 16 KOs) and Eric “Drummer Boy” Molina (26-3, 19 KOs) will be fighting on November 4 on the Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder vs. Bermane Stiverne card, according to news from social media.

Breazeale vs. Molina would presumably be the co-feature bout on that card, which will be shown on Showtime World Championship Boxing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Challenger Kubrat Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs) believes he and IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs) both need to keep improving during tier career as they head into their fight later this month on October 28 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Pulev has studied Joshua’s past fights and he’s noted the problems he’s had. Pulev is also critical of himself from the mistakes he made his 5th round knockout loss to Wladimir Klitschko in 2014. In that fight, Pulev repeatedly walked into left hooks from Wladimir in the early going and was knocked down over and over again.

The World Boxing Association president Gilberto Mendoza has elevated interim WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (11-0, 9 KOs) to full WBA 175 lb. champion, according to Dan Rafael.

Promoter Eddie Hearn hasn’t given up on the idea of putting together a fight between former world champions Kell Brook and Amir Khan. Hearn is counting on making the Brook-Khan fight in 2018 after both of them have taken tune-up fights to get ready.

Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin (18-0, 13 KOs) says he plans on attacking the older 27-year-old WBC light middleweight champion Jermell Charlo (29-0, 14 KOs) this Saturday night and outworking him with a high-volume attack in their triple-header fight on Showtime Championship Boxing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Former welterweight world champion Kell Brook (36-2, 25 KOs) says he’s going to try and return to the 147-lb. division if his body well let him. Brook, 31, would like to fight Amir Khan if he’s finally ready to make the fight.

Brook fancies his chances of knocking out Khan, who hasn’t fought since he was knocked out by Saul Canelo Alvarez over a year ago on HBO pay-per-view.

The World Boxing Organization has ordered WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (25-0, 12 KOs) to begin negotiations with #1 WBO mandatory contender David Lemieux (38-3, 33 KOs), according to the WBO president Francisco Valcarcel, Esq. Earlier on Monday, the WBO ordered Saunders and Lemieux to begin negotiations starting immediately.

Deontay Wilder responded back to Anthony Joshua on Monday in addressing the comments he made to media about wanting to jam a jab down his throat. Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) took 7 hours to respond to Joshua’s message, and when he did, he didn’t like the way he worded his comments, and that he’s going to teach him how to talk.

Former WBA heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (32-1, 23 KOs) will be fighting on December 15 against an opponent still to be determined at the DIVS in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

#8 WBO Povetkin could be facing #2 WBO Christian Hammer (22-4, 12 KOs) in a World Boxing Organization heavyweight title eliminator match.

IBO super middleweight champion Chris “Next Gen” Eubank Jr. (26-1, 20 KOs) used his hand speed advantage to stop the over-matched previously undefeated Avni “Mr. Robot” Yildirim (16-1, 10 KOs) in the 3rd round in the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) tournament on Saturday night at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer Arena in Stuttgart, Germany.
