White shoots down Nate Diaz return talk: ‘We offer him a fight every three or four months’

UFC president Dana White isn’t buying into the Nate Diaz return banter.

Diaz (21-10, 16-8 UFC) hasn’t competed in the Octagon since August 2016, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Conor McGregor in one of the highest-grossing events in the promotion’s history. Recently, Nate’s teammate Jake Shields said that Nate is very likely to fight again but wants it to be a big fight and worth his while financially.

Diaz himself said back in January that he was looking at a May or June return, but that seems highly unlikely at this point.

Dana could just be throwing people off the trail with a statement like that, but it seems like the seemingly never-ending saga of trying to get the Diaz brothers in the Octagon will go on for at least a little while longer.
