It was a disjointed first quarter for the Bucks, who trailed 27-22 after one as they shot just 33.3% from the field. The Bucks closed the gap with a late second quarter surge, but still were behind 54-52 after a 3-17 performance from deep.

NBA player Draymond Green is engaged to former Basketball Wives personality Hazel Renee, and the news itself was announced by Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

“The time’s been great,” Kerr told reporter on Monday, January 22. “A nice change of pace during the middle of the season, especially in mid-January. Beautiful weather here, and a lot of guys have brought family members. Draymond got engaged. A lot of great stuff.”

Los Angeles (AFP) - Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was ruled out of his team's clash with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday as he works his way back from a groin injury.

Lakers coach Luke Walton told reporters that while James, 34, had returned to training with team-mates, he would not be ready to return against Minnesota on Thursday.

After Sunday’s loss to Golden State, coach Luke Walton expressed optimism that Rajon Rondo (right ring finger surgery) would be able to return for Thursday’s game against Minnesota.

Walton remained hopeful at Wednesday’s practice, saying the Lakers have missed Rondo’s leadership, calling it “something we need right now.”

Rick Carlisle’s Dallas Mavericks team didn’t want to go away easily today, but Bud’s Milwaukee Bucks squad finally sent them packing with a loss in this 116-106 victory. It didn’t feel like only a 9-point advantage for the Bucks after one, but the Mavericks were able to somewhat keep pace as Milwaukee led 35-26 on 56% shooting in the quarter. Dallas managed to flip the script in the second, nailing everything from beyond the arc en route to a 59-57 advantage at halftime. Milwaukee found some touch from deep in the third though, taking a 92-84 lead into the fourth. Dallas made it close, but the Bucks were able to to pull away late to take this one.
