UFC 218: Holloway vs. Edgar fight card shaping up

Take a look at the current state of UFC 218, which is slated for December 2nd in Detroit, Michigan.

It’s been seven years since the UFC staged an event in Michigan. UFC 123 took place at The Palace of Auburn Hills on November 20th, 2010, with Quinton Jackson (somewhat controversially) beating Lyoto Machida by split decision in the main event. B.J. Penn knocked out Matt Hughes in their trilogy bout, and it’s Penn’s most recent win to date.

On December 2nd, the Octagon heads to Detroit for UFC 218, and fans at the newly-built Little Caesar’s Arena can look forward to a featherweight championship main event between Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar. Heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou gets his toughest test to date, as he takes on former title challenger Alistair Overeem. TUF 26 coaches Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje will square off in what should be an epic fight, and flyweight contenders Henry Cejudo and Sergio Pettis is still scheduled to happen, despite Cejudo’s recent scary encounter with the deadly wildfires in California.

Here’s the current set of matchups for this PPV event: (Note: Bout order is not confirmed)
