UFC 215 results: Henry Cejudo blasts out Wilson Reis

Henry Cejudo was simply stunning, as he destroyed Wilson Reis and stopped the Brazilian at UFC 215.

On the main card of UFC 215, a battle of current flyweight contenders and recent title challengers took place between Henry Cejudo and Wilson Reis. I say “battle” but it was a remarkably one-sided beatdown delivered by Cejudo, whose striking looked better than ever.

Cejudo came out in a karate stance and popped Reis with a straight right to the body. A couple of lightning-quick right hands to the head clocked the Brazilian. The boxing of Cejudo looked outstanding and he was firing away a good, diverse combination of strikes. Reis was getting hit with knees, kicks, and punches, and was struggling to get off quality offense. Reis attempted a single-leg takedown but was unable to put the Olympic gold medalist on his back. A huge head kick jarred Reis backwards. Cejudo scored a flash knockdown on Reis and finished round 1 with a takedown of his own.

Cejudo floored Reis with a right hand to start round 2, and savagely put his foe away with a couple of punches on the ground. Pure destruction.

Official result: Henry Cejudo def. Wilson Reis by KO (punches) at :25 of round 2

Champion Demetrious Johnson applauded the win of his former opponent, whose two-fight losing streak is over. Reis is now on his own two-fight skid.
