Things continue to heat up on social media between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier.

Jon Jones has been tag-teamed by Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson this week, regarding his failed USADA drug test at UFC 200.

Gustafsson, who lost to Jones via decision in a championship epic at UFC 172, claimed in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani that 'Bones' has probably been using performance-enhancing drugs for a 'long time' and believes he was using illegal substances in their five-round classic in 2013.

Cormier, who lost to Jones at UFC 182, echoed Gustafsson's sentiments on Wednesday's edition of UFC Tonight but believes he fought 'clean' against Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 197.

“I do believe that we will see a different fighter in Anaheim (at UFC 214), because I do believe he has to be clean this time," Cormier said. "Otherwise, he’ll be caught. And that’s why he got caught last time. I think he fought Ovince Saint Preux clean, and didn’t like the way he felt, and tried to do something again dirty, and got caught at UFC 200.”

It didn't take long for Jones to fire back — the former light heavyweight champion took Cormier's criticism as a compliment and believes the wrestling powerhouse is trying to make excuses for his only career loss in 2015.

Cormier responded a couple of hours later, promising to 'punish' Jones at UFC 214.

Although Jones failed his drug test and was removed from UFC 200, the 29-year-old didn't test positive for steroids. Jones flagged for two anti-estrogen agents, clomiphene and letrozol, and claims he accidentally absorbed the banned substances through the use of unbranded male enhancement pills.

Cormier vs. Jones II is expected to headline the UFC 214 pay-per-view extravaganza on July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
