Retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. -- who walked away from the "sweet science" with a perfect record of 49-0 -- does not want you to compare him to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor, because the former is an elephant and the latter is just an ant.
Ants have a tendency to get stepped on.
In fact, "Money" couldn't even trouble himself to watch the historic UFC 205 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in New York, where "Notorious" became the first combatant under the UFC banner to capture crowns in two different weight classes and actively hold them at the same time.

Sure, the trash-talking Irishman has yet to make a single title defense of either belt, but let's not get bogged down with minor details. And whatever you do, don't call him the Floyd Mayweather of mixed martial arts (MMA). That's just disrespectful, according to the pugilist formerly known as "Pretty Boy."

That’s something I didn’t know. I guess you guys is telling me something new if you say he’s the Floyd Mayweather of the MMA. If you saying he’s the Floyd Mayweather of the MMA, I’m trying to find out: Have he ever made $300 million in one night? Have he ever made $100 million in one night? Have he ever made $70 million in one night? As far as trying to say he’s the Floyd Mayweather of MMA, I mean, it’s okay to say it, it’s not true. I think it’s time for Conor McGregor to go out there and do what he do. But never compare Conor McGregor to me. It’s a total disrespect. Once again, I’m an elephant. An elephant don’t beef with ants. Elephant is so large he don’t even see ants.”
How about $50 million in one night?
Mayweather has a habit of getting mixed up with UFC fighters. After his protracted feud with former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, the future MMA promoter turned his attention to McGregor.
Then came talks of a crossover “super fight.”
In the end, the chances of these two actually doing anything outside of a “publicity stunt” are slim, though promotion president Dana White insists the showdown is simply a phone call away.
