WOMAN NATIONAL MASTER (WNM) Christy Lamiel Bernales proved unstoppable to lead Team Hermida into a victory with a masterful conquest over Woman Fide Master (WFM) Cherry Ann Mejia, 2-1, in an armageddon tie-break and Woman International Master (WIM) Bernadette Galas, 2-0, of Team Orbe, respectively on Saturday, April 21, 2018, in the five minutes, five second delay, Blitz time control format dubbed as Rage of Angels Part II, broadcasted live worldwide through the YouTube and Facebook channel of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.

According to tournament organizer Philippine Executive Chess Champion Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe, WNM Bernales went inside the battle arena after her team mate Mariel Batulan lost WFM Mejia in another armageddon tie-break in this event backed up by National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) Chairman and President Rep. Prospero “Butch” Arreza Pichay Jr.

Batulan, earlier beat Woman National Master (WNM) Jean Karen Enriquez, 1.5-0.5.
On the other hand, WNM Enriquez, who downed WNM Arvie Lozano, 2-0, and Woman Fide Master (WFM) Allanney Jia Doroy, 2-1, in an armageddon tie-break.
Team Hermida got off strong start as WNM Lozano defeated Highzzy Manaloto, 2-1, in an armageddon tie-break.
