ROSE GETS A SECOND CHANCE

Vancouver, Canada - Derrick Rose AKA D-Rose was recently  judged not guilty for raping an ex- girlfriend with two of his close friends. He gets a second chance at basketball and life.

“ I feel relieved and vow to focus on my family and the game of basketball,” declares D-Rose after his trial ordeal. He risks losing some or all of his endorsements and may cost him tons of money. But at least he is still in the NBA.

D-Rose was the best player coming out of college in 2008 and was the first round draft pick in the draft. He was named the “Rookie of the Year” in 2009 and fulfilled his destiny of greatness.

However due to nagging knee injuries, he was sidelined for a lot of games over the last 5 years. He was recently traded to the NY Knicks from Chicago Bulls. It is not easy for the Bulls to lose their franchise player but his stats were faltering and perhaps the Bulls organization wanted to avoid the looming rape trial downside.

The Knicks found a jewel in the Bulls’ garbage and took a chance on trading for Rose. If Rose plays well and have a decent season, he may still get a multi-year offer from the Knicks organization. He only has a one year contract.

With a skillful player like Rose, who can penetrate and slash, he can create pick-and-roll situations and he has a lot of go-to-guys now aside from Melo. There are K Porzingis, Courtney Lee and Brandon Jennings. All these four players are sharp shooters.

This is a different Knicks team from the last year’s line- up. The bovada.lv, a statistics company, predicts the Knicks to be the 6th best team to capture the championship at 40 to 1 odds. The Warriors, the heavy league favourite, are 4 to 5 and are expected to win it all over the Cavs.
