Ginobili had one of the most successful careers we’ve probably ever seen in professional sports, period.

If this is the end for Manu Ginobili — the 39 year old says he’ll take a few weeks to contemplate retirement — it’s been a hell of a ride. The sweet-shooting Argentine lefty left his mark on basketball by being successful at every single stop of his career, perhaps as much as anyone we’ve ever seen in basketball. He may never have been the best player in the NBA, or even the best player on the Spurs, but instead, Ginobili established his legacy another way: He won, and won, and won.

Game 2 was never close and the series heads back to Cleveland the Cavs in control.

Somehow, Friday night’s Game 2 against the Boston Celtics was even easier for the Cleveland Cavaliers than their Game 1 win.

In a 130-86 win, the Cavs lead from their first field goal of the game — a Kyrie Irving floater 57 seconds into the game. In the first, Cleveland outscored Boston 32-18. SAN FRANCISCO—Despite forward Kawhi Leonard being uncertain with a sprained left ankle and two disheartening NBA playoff losses at Golden State, the San Antonio Spurs vowed Thursday to fight back aggressively.

“You’ve got to be the aggressor. You’ve got to be sharp for 48 minutes and you’ve got to take it to them,” Spurs centre Pau Gasol said. “You’ve got to be the most physical team, the team that wants it the most and play with that edge and that feeling the entire game.”

The Spurs' backs are against the wall. They trail their Western Conference Finals series against the Golden State Warriors, 3-0, with Game 4 set for Monday, and Spurs' coach Gregg Popovich they're "likely" going to be without Kawhi Leonard (sprained left ankle) again.

"It wouldn't make much sense," Popovich said of playing Leonard in Game 4. "If he's unable to play yesterday, I don't think there's going to be a miraculous healing by tomorrow."

Facing a depleted Spurs roster, JaVale McGee and Kevin Durant were the stars of tonight’s big win. Yes, you read that correctly.

The Golden State Warriors took a 3-0 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs in Saturday night’s 120-108 road win. San Antonio, as Jeff Van Gundy pointed out in tonight’s broadcast, used to be a “house of horrors” for the Warriors, but this season seems to be changing that trend.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs) is said to be the biggest star boxing according to his promoters at Golden Boy Promotions, but there’s some debate going on that IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua might be more popular at this point. Floyd Mayweather Jr. WAS the biggest star in boxing until he retired in 2015.

Mayweather’s departure from the sport left a huge vacuum that Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya claims has been filled by Canelo. Manny Pacquiao is still fighting and his recent PPV numbers have been close to those of Canelo’s. Pacquiao vs. Tim Bradley III brought in 400,000 buys on HBO PPV last year in April 2016. However, Pacquiao’s last fight against Jessie Vargas brought in just 300,000 buys on Top Rank PPV.
