Philadelphia 76ers’ No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz exited the team’s Summer League matchup against the Warriors on Saturday with a sprained left ankle, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. He will not return for tonight’s game.

Fultz attempted to chase down Warriors’ guard Jabari Brown for a block in the third quarter but stepped on the back of Brown’s foot, then landed on his left ankle. He could not put any weight on his left ankle and was helped to the locker room.

The Warriors begin summer league play against Markelle Fultz and the Sixers tonight at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.

The Golden State Warriors will begin their 2017 Las Vegas Summer League campaign tonight at 7:30 p.m. PST when they face the Philadelphia 76ers.

The game will mark the debut of Warriors second round draft pick Jordan Bell, who is expected to sign a two year contract with the team today.

The Boston Celtics are finalizing a trade to send perimeter defender Avery Bradley to the Detroit Pistons, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Celtics will also send a 2019 second-round pick in exchange for forward Marcus Morris, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania.

Las Vegas Summer League kicked off on Friday night and the game between the Lakers and Clippers was the headliner. The building was packed to see how No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft, Lonzo Ball, would mesh with his new team. That included D’Angelo Russell, the guy the Lakers traded away so they could rebuild with Ball instead.

Marcus Morris was traded to the Boston Celtics on Friday morning along with a second-round pick in exchange for Avery Bradley. It was a salary dumping move for the Celtics, who can now happily sign their prize free agent, Gordon Hayward. But this trade means so much more than it appears on the surface, for both Boston and the Washington Wizards.

It means a TWINS war between Marcus and Markieff Morris (who are incredibly identical) and now play for rival teams (who incredibly hate each other).

LOS ANGELES—Dirk Nowitzki will become only the second player to spend 20 NBA seasons with the same team after inking a new deal with the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.

A statement from the Texas franchise said Nowitzki will join retired Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant as the only other member of the 20-season club when he returns for the 2017-2018 campaign.
