NU Pep Squad Aim to Defend Title in UAAP Season 86 Cheerdance Competition

One of the UAAP's flagship events is about to take center stage. The UAAP Season 86 Cheerdance Competition is scheduled for December 2, 2023 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Defending champions National University Pep Squad will defend their title in the first season under new head coach Gab Bajacan against the seven other member universities.

"I believe we're in for another exciting and eagerly anticipated competition. I know our coaches are highly creative and innovative when it comes to their performances. Let's see how our coaches will work their magic and captivate their respective communities," said UAAP Special Events Committee head Gigi Kamus.

The order of performance was determined by a drawing of lots in the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion immediately after the Coaches' Meeting on Thursday.

The University of the East Pep Squad will kick off the show before NU Pep takes the floor. The Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles and the Adamson University Pep Squad will complete the first half of the performers.

Following them, the University of the Philippines Pep Squad and the De La Salle University Animo Squad will continue the competition, in that order.

Last year's runners-up Far Eastern University Cheering Squad and the third-placed University of Santo Tomas Salinggawi Dance Troupe complete the field.
