The Professional Fighters League (PFL), the fastest growing and most innovative sports league, today announced the news that all French MMA fans had been hoping for, that Cedric ‘The Best’ Doumbe will headline the PFL Europe Play Offs in Paris on September 30 at Zenith Paris La Villette.

Widely regarded as one of the best Welterweights in the world, the 30-year-old French-based superstar and former Glory kickboxing champion will now be looking to add to his incredible 75 professional wins (45 by knockout) as he makes his hugely anticipated debut for the PFL. Alongside Doumbe, who will be taking part in a special showcase bout, PFL Europe 3 in Paris will also host the Light Heavyweight, female Flyweight, Bantamweight and Lightweight Semi-Finals of the inaugural season as Europe’s best 16 fighters look to book their place in December’s final.

Taking place at the 3Arena in Dublin on Friday December 8, the first ever PFL Europe Final will feature four title fights in one night, with each champion winning $100,000 and a pathway to the PFL regular season. “There are very few martial artists that have reached the level of skill and accomplishment that Cedric Doumbe has attained during his incredible kickboxing career. Now as an undefeated MMA fighter, Doumbe is at the beginning of what could be a very exciting career inside the Smartcage.

It will be amazing to have him make his PFL debut as the headliner for our European playoff event in Paris, and an opportunity for the fans to see Cedric take on the next challenge of his illustrious combat sports career. Doumbe's fights are exhilarating, and his striking skills will be a challenge for every fighter in his division. If he is to rise to the top of the PFL's welterweight division, and win the championship, he would put himself in the conversation of the best martial artists of all time.” said Head of Fighter Operations for PFL Europe, Dan Hardy.
