‘Showtime’ Shawn Porter says he’s beginning to worry about the health status of IBF/WBC welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. following his vehicle accident on October 10. Spence hasn’t been seen on video since he got out of the hospital in Dallas. Spence (26-0, 21 KOs) was in the intensive care unit for six days following the accident in Dallas.

Saul Canelo Alvarez is considering taking on IBF/WBC light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev next May if he comes out victorious against WBO champion Sergey Kovalev on November 2. A win for Canelo over Beterbiev would turn the boxing world upside down, making him an even bigger star than he already is.

There’s already growing interest from fans in wanting to see Canelo unseat Beterbiev to unify the 175-lb division.

Fans at the Staples Center in Los Angeles were treated to a late Fight of the Year contender on Saturday night as Errol Spence Jr. and Shawn Porter threw down for 12 hard rounds, pummeling each other right up to the final bell. Spence would walk away with a split decision victory, with two judges giving him the fight 116-111 and a third handing it to Porter 115-112. We had the bout scored 116-111 Spence as well.
