Manila - Except for Karen Ibasco’s victory in Miss Earth 2017, the Philippines failed to win in any of the other international pageants last year. Although it took a minor hit, the country’s reputation as a pageant powerhouse was still reinforced by three impressive runner-up finishes in Miss Globe, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Grand International.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- For the last 2 months, Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire has been spending his time at a local gym in Las Vegas as he prepares to take on another match after his victory against Ruben Hernandez last September at Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas.

Donaire will slug it out with former world champion Carl Frampton in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on April 21. This will be Donaire’s first time to fight in Europe.

KZ Tandingan's journey in China's biggest televised talent contest Singer 2018 has finally come to end after she was eliminated on Friday's episode, March 16.

The Pinay singer performed her own rendition of Lorde's Royals. However, despite the oustanding show she gave, she was ousted alongside Chinese contestant James Li during the week's double elimination round.

The Rotary Club of Sta. Mesa District 3780, through its President Jose Paulo Legaspi, supports the proposed 6-month rehabilitation of the island of Boracay to restore its former glory.

“We have ignored nature’s warning signs in the past, and we paid the price. Let’s not let it happen to Boracay. Let’s help in whichever way we can. The best time to start is now,” said Legaspi, a supporter of Clean Up the Philippines, which has volunteered to help in the rehabilitation efforts for the “Island Paradise.”
