Department of Tourism Undersecretary Benito Bengzon Jr. endorses Daenee Bartolome, the first Filipina tattoo artist to join the Vancouver Tattoo and Culture Show on April 20 to 22. In a courtesy visit to the DOT office, Bartolome shared with the undersecretary her dedication and passion in the art of tattooing.

“We are proud that a Filipina will be part of a gathering of tattoo masters and enthusiasts from all over the world,” said Bengzon.

“Many tourists go here to have their tattoos done by our homegrown artists and I think it helps boost tourism. It is truly a great honor to have a woman tattoo artist in the person of Daenee,” said DOT Secretary Wanda Teo.

With USec Bengzon and Bartolome in the photo is Philtag President Ricky Sta. Ana who will also join Bartolome in the event.
