KZ Tandingan's journey in China's biggest televised talent contest Singer 2018 has finally come to end after she was eliminated on Friday's episode, March 16.
The Pinay singer performed her own rendition of Lorde's Royals. However, despite the oustanding show she gave, she was ousted alongside Chinese contestant James Li during the week's double elimination round.
Tandingan herself confirmed the news Friday night on Twitter.
"I close my eyes because faith is seeing for me. I did everything I could, but the results are out of our control. I’m going home tomorrow with a happy heart,” the powerhouse singer said in tweet.
According to to the 'Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako' singer, she will never forget her experience on the show. Having mixed emotions, she said that she will miss them and that she hopes to see them again.
As usual, the fiery performer did not disappoint with her and her powerful voice jazzy riffs.
But despite being eliminated from the contest, the powerhouse singer made it clear she won't be going anywhere soon.
"This won’t be the last time the world will hear a Filipino sing her heart out. Thank You Lord! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!" she said.
Tandingan first wowed the international scene when she beat British popstar Jessie J in an episode of the Chinese reality contest, which pits famous singers from countries around the world.
The rankings on "Singer 2018" are based on votes from the studio audience.
