Jarrell Miller thinks IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is scared of fighting Deontay Wilder, and the proof of that is him turning down $50 million to fight him. Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) hasn’t turned down the fight with Wilder. He merely said the fight can only happen in the UK.

Coming in overweight has hurt Lemieux in the pocketbook with his purse for the fight slashed by 20%. Lemieux looked sickly at Friday’s weight. He had dark shadows under both eyes.

This is the first title fight between Filipino fighters in 93 years.
The management for WBO junior middleweight champion Jaime Munguia (29-0, 25 KOs) and mandatory challenger Liam ‘Beefy’ Smith (26-1-1, 14 KOs) are in talks to try and put together a deal before the June 14h deadline by the World Boxing Organization. If a deal can’t be reached, it’ll go to a purse bid.
Thursday’s purse bid for the IBF heavyweight title eliminator between Dillian Whyte and Kubrat Pulev was won by Epic Sports & Entertainment. They offered a winning bid of $1,500,111, which was twice the total of the next highest bid.
Matchroom Boxing USA promoter Eddie Hearn says he’s had calls from 12 to 20 “superstar” fighters interested in his new $1 billion deal with DAZN. Hearn doesn’t say whether he’s signed any of them, but he’s reportedly signed a 3-deal with former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
