The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Sacrmento Kings in an ugly 98-94 mess of a game. Julius Randle led the way with 26 points, shaking and baking the Kings in front of his cold college coach John Calipari, and a few parting shots from D’Angelo Russell sealed the deal late in the game.

The Spurs took a skeleton crew up I-35 to face Dirk and the Mavs for the last time this season

San Antonio went to Dallas with an 8-man rotation, with Dedmon being the only regular starter to stay in the lineup. Tony dressed, but never saw the court as the visitors were down big early, but gelled by the mid third quarter to take the lead and end the game without much fight by the Mavs, who scored only 28 in the second half.

The Clippers notched win number 48 and climbed back to within a half-game of fourth-seeded Utah.

The postseason begins in 10 days, and even with the fourth seed still in contention, the Clippers weren’t likely to show us a playoff-ready A-game. And they didn’t, at least, not defensively, but with the scoring rhythm they’re rolling with right now, it takes an opponent with more talent (and rest) than the lottery-bound Dallas Mavericks to capitalize.

For the last time in the 2016-2017 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors played a road game on the back-end of a back-to-back. And faced with another young, athletic team, Golden State looked noticeably tired and uneven for long stretches.

It looks like we’ve got our first-round matchup all set. Who’s excited?

San Antonio’s win over Memphis on Tuesday night pretty much locked Memphis into the seventh seed and a first-round showdown with the Spurs. I mean, that’s pretty good for the Spurs in that I don’t think that Memphis can do more than make it a five-game series.

After a meh first half, the Warriors found their mojo in the third quarter to secure the win against the Timberwolves, 121-107.

One day before Steve Kerr infamously sat Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green (as well as the injured Kevin Durant) against the San Antonio Spurs, the Warriors lost a hard-fought game against the Timberwolves in Minneapolis. The young team, led by rising star Karl-Anthony Towns, seems well-equipped to handle the Warriors’ elite shooting and defensive versatility now and in coming years.
