Hayward announced his decision in a Players Tribune letter after his agent denied the news upon it being reported early.

After three meetings in three cities with three different teams, Gordon Hayward has made up his mind. The 27-year-old forward will sign with the Boston Celtics, he announced on The Players Tribune.

Hayward will sign a four-year, $128 million deal, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Shams Charania. The fourth year is a player option.

Kevin Durant will re-sign with the Warriors for a first-year salary of about $25 million, according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes. That’s around $10 million less than if Durant had signed for his absolute maximum (which was functionally impossible for reasons that’ll take way too long to explain) and a tad under $7 million less than the most he could have taken with the Warriors bringing back Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala.

The Minnesota Timberwolves completed a deal to trade point guard Ricky Rubio to the Utah Jazz, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania. In exchange, the Timberwolves receive Oklahoma City’s 2018 first-round pick, shedding cap space to set up a big splash for an All-Star caliber point guard when free agency starts after midnight Friday.

The Rockets add another wing defender.

P.J. Tucker has agreed to a deal with the Houston Rockets, according to the Vertical’s Shams Charania. The deal is worth $32 million over four years. Tucker spent the last half of the 2016-17 season with the Toronto Raptors after he was traded from the Phoenix Suns at the trade deadline. He and Serge Ibaka were supposed to give the Raptors enough for a deeper playoff run which never came to fruition.
