Cade Cunningham scored a career-high 29 points as the Detroit Pistons came from behind to stun the Utah Jazz 126-116 on Monday night.

With the Jazz up 54-32 in the second quarter at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena, the Pistons rallied hard to dash the 22-point deficit and hand Utah their third straight defeat.

With 3:54 left in the third quarter, 20-year-old Cunningham landed a 3-pointer that tied the game at 73-73.

The last quarter was a tight affair until about the last five minutes, when guard Cory Joseph scored a 3-point jump shot to give Detroit a double-digit lead at 111-101.

Detroit’s small forward Saddiq Bey matched top draft pick Cunningham with 29 points.

Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell was the game’s highest scorer with 31 points, while teammate Hassan Whiteside finished with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds.

The win does little for Detroit in the Eastern Conference standings as they remain in the 14th spot with nine wins and 30 losses.

The Jazz are currently third in the Western Conference with 28 wins and 13 defeats.
