Gordon Hayward added 25 points, and Kelly Oubre Jr. had 16 to finish off a 4-0 homestand that included wins over Golden State and Washington.

“I feel like we are really locking in on defense right now,” said Ball, who also had 11 rebounds and eight assists.

Jordan Poole had his second straight 30-point performance with 33, Andrew Wiggins added 32 points and seven rebounds, and the Golden State Warriors beat the Toronto Raptors 119-104 on Sunday night with Stephen Curry’s supporting cast taking pressure off the reigning scoring champion.

Poole shot 10 for 13 with eight 3-pointers and became the first Warriors player aside from Curry with consecutive 30-point outings since D’Angelo Russell did so in three in a row from Dec. 27, 2019-Jan. 12, 2020.

Cleveland’s leading scorer this season tore cartilage in his knee on Nov. 7 in a game against the New York Knicks. The Cavs didn’t provide their first update until Friday, when they said Sexton had an operation on Wednesday in Atlanta.

LeBron James was ejected for drawing blood from Isaiah Stewart’s face, sending the superstar to the locker room early in the third quarter and leaving his teammates to pick up the slack.

Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook did that in a big way.

Davis had 30 points, 10 rebounds and two big blocked shots late on rookie Cade Cunningham. Westbrook contributed 26 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 121-116 comeback victory over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night.

“Everybody’s level went up when LB came out,” Davis said.

Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins made the most of their opportunity to step up as scorers in Stephen Curry’s absence.

Poole scored 22 of his season-high 32 points in the first half and Wiggins had 27, helping the Golden State Warriors beat the Detroit Pistons 105-102 on Friday night.

“I’m really proud of Jordan,” coach Steve Kerr said. “He struggled the last few games. He was locked in right at the beginning.”

Golden State started the fourth quarter with a 16-point lead and held on to win after Detroit’s Jerami Grant and Frank Jackson missed 3-pointers in the closing seconds.

DeMar DeRozan scored 31 points, Zach LaVine added 21 and the Chicago Bulls rallied in the fourth quarter for a 109-103 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday night.

Coby White scored 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter as Chicago won its second straight and fourth in five games.

Julius Randle had 34 points on 13-for-18 shooting for New York.

The Knicks won the first meeting between the teams on Oct. 28 in Chicago.

Jayson Tatum grew up idolizing Kobe Bryant, so he knew all about the Celtics-Lakers rivalry even before becoming part of it.

On Friday night, he put on an offensive show in front of Celtics Hall of Famers Bill Russell and Paul Pierce in the latest chapter.

“It’s a surreal moment, obviously, Bill Russell and the impact he had on the Celtics and the NBA,” Tatum said. “Having someone like Paul come to the game and someone I have a relationship with.

“I remember watching him play,” Tatum said, breaking into a smile. “Now he’s watching me play, that’s crazy.”
