Conor McGregor immediately responds to Floyd Mayweather’s recently reported tax problems.
As a multi-time Forbes’ number one-ranked highest paid athlete, money issues would perceivably be the last of Floyd Mayweather’s concerns. But on Sunday, it was reported that “Money” still owes the IRS his 2015 federal taxes, and has requested for it to be settled after his August 26th fight against Conor McGregor.
It did not take long for the news to reach “The Notorious”, who of course, had offered his colorful response to the situation. Speaking to TMZ on Monday, McGregor unsurprisingly had no sympathy at all for his upcoming opponent.
“I don’t give a f--k what he did. I don’t give a f--k. I don’t care what he done. He should've stayed retired. He’s f--ked now,” McGregor said. “That’s the god’s honest truth. He should have paid his taxes and stayed retired. And kept my name out of his f---ing mouth.”
It has also been reported that the pay-per-view price for the fight is expected to be at $100, similar to the 2015 mega fight between Mayweather and Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.
McGregor, however, has another figure in mind.
“It should be $120.”
Mayweather vs. McGregor is slated for a 154-pound 12-round fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
