Lakers star Rajon Rondo was ruled out due to back spasms after being declared active just minutes before the L.A.’s important Game 3 win over the Portland Trail Blazers to go up 2-1 in their best-of-seven series.

As of today, Rondo doesn’t appear any closer to making his return and he’s considered doubtful to play against the Trail Blazers in Monday night’s Game 4, according to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times.
Rondo has been out since mid-July, when he suffered a broken thumb in the Lakers first practice after arriving at Disney World. He left the bubble to undergo surgery and was on track to play in Saturday’s Game 3 until he started suffering from back spasms in the lead up to the game.
