American snowboarder Chloe Kim has claimed the Winter Olympic gold medal in the women’s halfpipe snowboarding at just 17 years old.

Kim – a California native with family ties to South Korea, where this year’s games are being held – was a favourite going into the Pyeongchang Games, and she did not disappoint.

Anthony Mandap endorses Daenee Bartolome, the first Filipina tattoo artist to join the Vancouver Tattoo and Culture Show on April 20 to 22. In a courtesy visit to the DFA office, Bartolome shared with the DFA Director her passion in the art of tattooing.

As the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games get into full swing, all eyes are on the Olympics medal count. Germany currently leads the gold medal count with five, while Norway leads the total medal tally with 11, buoyed by the Men’s Cross-Country Skiing events on Sunday. Canada has 10 medals, three of them in Snowboarding events, while the Netherlands have 10 medals, many of them in speed skating, and Lim Hyojun brought home the first medal, a gold, for hosts South Korea in the Short Track Speed Skating on Saturday.
