Department of Foreign Affairs Director and former deputy Consul General for Canada Atty. Anthony Mandap endorses Daenee Bartolome, the first Filipina tattoo artist to join the Vancouver Tattoo and Culture Show on April 20 to 22. In a courtesy visit to the DFA office, Bartolome shared with the DFA Director her passion in the art of tattooing.

“Tattooing is a classic form of art that has existed since our ancestors. Doing tattoos is a talent that we must be proud of. Many tourists go here to have their tattoos done by our homegrown artists and I think it helps boost tourism. It is truly a great honor to have a woman tattoo artist in the person of Daenee,” said Mandap.
