While Ryan Reynolds is a joke machine in Deadpool 2, constantly riffing and commenting about everything, Josh Brolin's Cable is set up as his total opposite. A soldier from an apocalyptic future, he has a resolute mission to kill the child who grows up to kill his family, and that doesn't leave him a ton of time for playful banter.

The opening shot of Deadpool 2 is of Wade Wilson with his Deadpool mask pulled halfway up his marred face, puffing on a cigarette and fiddling with a sort of music box, the lilting melody playing as Hugh Jackman's Logan lifelessly twirls on a stake. "F**k Wolverine. First he rides my coattails with the R-rating, and then he ups the ante by dying," Deadpool narrates, promising that in this movie, he, too, will die.

The Marvel blockbuster crossed the $1 billion mark in a record 11 days.

Avengers: Infinity War continues to blow past already high expectations, setting all kinds of Hollywood records in the process. The latest is the climb to the worldwide $1 billion mark, a milestone a few other Marvel movies have achieved—but none of the others did it this quickly. After having the biggest global opening weekend ever, Marvel’s crossover culmination officially edged over $1 billion on Saturday, Marvel reports—the fastest any movie, Marvel or not, has passed that milestone.

Dwayne Johnson has found the star of his next film: former wrestling rival John Cena.

Johnson announced on Instagram on Monday that he will be producing The Janson Directive, a film based off the novel of the same name written by Robert Ludlum, author of the famous Bourne series. And Johnson was clearly excited to announce that Cena would play the movie's lead, Paul Janson, an ex-Navy SEAL drawn into an international conspiracy.

While Ryan Reynolds seems to absolutely love playing Deadpool -- both in movies and also just in real life apparently -- it seems the star feels the beloved, foul-mouthed anti-hero might not return for a third solo film.

As Reynolds gears up for Deadpool 2's release later this month, the actor spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the Merc With a Mouth's future, admitting, "I don't know that there would be a Deadpool 3. I really don't."
