Restaurants unite to fight child malnutrition with 3-month campaign
Through the initiative of the global humanitarian organization Action Against Hunger, restaurants have come together to fight child malnutrition.
Called “Restaurants Against Hunger,” the campaign runs from October 1 to December 1, 2018. During this period participating restaurants will be donating a portion of the sale of specially marked dishes on their menu to projects combating child malnutrition in the Philippines.
‘Sea of Life’ project to save Batangas reefs
To help ensure the health of the country’s marine ecosystem, Gold Seas Tuna Chunks under General Nutrifoods Philippines Inc. recently embarked on the “Sea of Life” coral reef conservation project.
The “Sea of Life” is an artificial reef installation positioned along the shores of Tingloy, Batangas that covers about 1,000 square meters.

Estrada leads Manila annual family planning rites at UDM
Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada on Thursday led the celebration of the Annual Family Planning Month to raise awareness and access of Manileños to various family planning methods at the Universidad De Manila.
Speaking before hundreds of parents, health workers and students, the Manila chief executive also urged the couples in the audience to be open-minded on family planning because the growing population is a main concern of the city government.
