Five people were arrested on Saturday following a protest in the waters near Kinder Morgan Canada Ltd.'s Westridge Marine terminal in Burnaby B.C.

More than 60 boats linked together in front of the tanker route which runs from the terminal.

First Nations along with environmentalists, local politicians and residents are continuing their protest of the company's expansion of its Trans Mountain pipeline, which runs from Edmonton to Burnaby.

It doesn’t sound right and just. But is this true or fiction?

Some Pitt Meadows city councillors want their colleague David Murray to resign his seat after he was convicted of sexual assault Wednesday.

Speaking on Thursday, Coun. Tracy Miyashita said Murray — who still remains on council — should do "the right thing" and resign.

"I think it is very difficult to represent the people of our community when you've been convicted of a sexual assault charge," Miyashita said.

The British Columbia Securities Commission has initiated the arrest of a Vancouver man, who has used multiple aliases, on charges including failure to comply with conditions of his release related to other investigations.

The BCSC, with the assistance of Vancouver police, on Oct. 2 arrested 37-year-old Ayaz Dhanani, also known as Alex Dhanani, Azim Virani, Michael Lee, Alex Nebris, Paul Dhanani, Samuel Ramos or Rahim Jiwa following an investigation by the BCSC’s criminal branch.
