Far Eastern University chess team 94 led by US based Rainier Labay, chemist Ritchie Evangelista, seaman Leo Peñaredondo, banker Gilo Estrella and call center agent Topher Megino ruled the team battle over the Edmonton Canada
based chess team led by Fide Master Belsar Valencia, Edmonton champion 2020 Butch Villavieja, former kiddie champion Mark Ivanescu, Dante Briones, accountant Joseph Young and Venezuelan Rafael Arruebarena, Mark Tuvera and team captain Alvin "Babin Smith" Guevarra last Saturday night. Topher Megino who works as Technical support representative at Teleperformance Philippines showed his deadly form with 12 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses for a total of 39 points to carry the FEU squad for the victory. Evangelista chipped in 24 points, Estrella 22, while Peñaredondo pulled 19, and US based Labay scored 16, respectively for a total of 124 points for FEU squad. This tournament team battle is a series of friendly match from Pinoy based in Canada and in US to promote online games during this pandemic period.
