MANILA---Filipino Kim Yutangco Zafra pocketed the top honors in the Tallinna MK kiirturniiride sari SÜGIS`2022 (VI etapp) A Chess Championship 2022 held in Tallinn, Estonia on Saturday, Nov. 26.
The Europe based Zafra collected 6.5 points on account of six wins and one draw in seven outings in this FIDE rated event, applying 15 minutes plus 3 seconds increment.
Zafra scored victories over Artur Marton in the first round, Robin Ricco Savipold in the second round, Natig Ispanov in the third round, Woman Fide Master WFM Sofia Blokhin in the fourth round, Jaan Urgas in the fifth round and Vladimir Dukov in the seventh and final round.
He split the points with Vjatseslav Garber in the sixth round.
Zafra also compete in the 2022 FIDE World Amateur Championships took place in Malta from October 20-30.-Marlon Bernardino-
