Both companies have been closely working together since 2012, bringing Asian mixed martial arts to greater heights.

2016 was a monumental year for the growing Philippine mixed martial arts (MMA) scene as Filipino fighters glimmered like diamonds atop an international stage.

Over the course of 14 events in ONE Championship’s 2016 calendar, Filipino MMA competitors tallied 24 victories, including Brandon Vera’s successful heavyweight title defense and Eduard Folayang’s stunning championship-winning performance.

After scoring a highlight-reel finish in his last bout, Filipino homegrown talent Burn “The Hitman” Soriano looks for another scintillating performance as he is set to have his first scheduled match under the ONE Championship banner in 2017.

Soriano will be squaring off with Malaysian standout Saiful “The Vampire” Merican on the undercard of ONE: THRONE OF TIGERS, which takes place at the 12,000-seater Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 10 February.

12 January 2017 – Kuala, Lumpur: The largest sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), in partnership with Tune Talk, has just announced additional bouts to complete a spectacular card at ONE: THRONE OF TIGERS. The blockbuster event will feature the absolute best in local and international mixed martial arts talent, accentuating a tremendous main event bout between hometown hero Ev “E.T.” Ting and lightweight veteran Kamal Shalorus.

The 34-year-old native of Malungon, Sarangani is also a former professional boxer, who has nearly 50 fights under his belt. He captured the WBO Asia Pacific light flyweight title in September 2002. 

Doliguez makes his much-awaited return to the ONE Championship cage on 10 February as he is set to square off with grappling ace Alex Silva on the undercard of ONE: THRONE OF TIGERS in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ONE Championship light heavyweight fighter Igor Subora might have been born and raised in Ukraine.The 36-year-old Ukrainian is set to return to action on 14 January as he makes his light heavyweight debut against Egyptian combatant Sherif “The Shark” Mohamed on the undercard of ONE: QUEST FOR POWER in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Jakarta, Indonesia: The largest sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), returned to the Jakarta Convention Center for another evening of world-class mixed martial arts (MMA) action. ONE: QUEST FOR POWER set the tone for what will be an amazing 2017 for ONE Championship with a series of compelling bouts featuring the absolute best in local and international MMA talent. In the main event, ONE Middleweight World Champion Vitaly Bigdash retained his title, defeating top contender “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang by unanimous decision after five rounds.

Liberian standout Jerome S. Paye is all geared up for his three-round flyweight encounter with Indonesian prospect Stefer Rahardian on the undercard of ONE: QUEST FOR POWER in Jakarta, Indonesia on 14 January.

Paye made his ONE Championship debut against China’s Li Hao Jie in February 2016, showcasing a well-rounded set of techniques and stifling his opponent with an array of striking combinations. However, he fell short in his bout against his Chinese foe by way of unanimous decision.
