Wonder Woman is currently the No. 1 movie in the U.S. and has received an overwhelmingly positive response from critics and fans around the globe.

The Patty Jenkins-directed superhero film broke the glass ceiling, earning $103.3 million in its opening weekend and becoming the highest-grossing domestic opening for a female director. While Warner Bros. has yet to confirm a sequel, it seems likely that Gal Gadot will return as the beloved heroine – and Jenkins would love nothing more than to direct the second installment.

Surprise!

Brad Pitt made an unexpected appearance at the New York City premiere of Okja on Wednesday.

The father of six, whose production company, Plan B Entertainment, produced the new Netflix film, looked dapper in a light gray suit at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater.

It feels appropriate, if not a bit on the nose, to kick off a summer teeming with remakes and reboots and cinematic universe-expanding episodes with a movie that is all the above. The Mummy, which is both a reboot of the 1932 The Mummy starring Boris Karloff and the 1999 franchise starring Brendan Fraser, is also the first installment in the soon-to-be expansive Dark Universe. (The movie universe that will bring together Dracula and Frankenstein and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.)

Legendary is moving along with its MonsterVerse at a nice steady pass. The studio is currently working on the sequel Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and will then follow it up with Godzilla vs Kong. King of the Monsters has been busy assembling quite an impressive cast. Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler lead the ensemble, and now the Godzilla sequel has added a star from the smash hit horror film Get Out. Bradley Whitford has joined the cast of Godzilla: King of Monsters.

Val Kilmer is all for reprising his beloved Top Gun role in the classic's highly anticipated sequel!

The 57-year-old actor tweeted a selfie on Tuesday, rocking a T-shirt featuring an illustration of his Top Gun character, cocky fighter pilot Tom "Iceman" Kazanski.

Last month, Kilmer called out his co-star, Tom Cruise.

Warner Bros isn't wasting time with filling out the rest of the DCEU. Justice League will be here soon enough, and it also has Aquaman, The Flash, Nightwing, the Batman solo movie, Shazam, and Gotham City Sirens coming, to only name a few. Joss Whedon's Batgirl movie is also on the way, to the delight of Batman fans. The fandom haven't hesitated to offer up their own casting choices, while some actors are making sure that their interest is noted.
