MANILA – Actress Maxene Magalona married musician Rob Mananquil in the island paradise of Boracay on Thursday, with the event attended by the couple’s family and close friends in and out of showbiz.
Maxene and Rob had an intimate church wedding before their Boracay one. And just like their Boracay wedding, you can expect all of the smallest details to be well thought of. Their outfits, of course, were so on point! Maxene’s dress totally gave off a modern-day Marilyn Monroe vibe. Rob, on the other hand, wasn’t afraid to be daring and sported a checkered suit.
Magalona was a vision in white as she held a matching bouquet with a locket as tribute to her father, the late rapper Francis Magalona. All men came in black and the ladies came in blush, their favorite colors.
Her entourage – which included “Doble Kara” star Julia Montes, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, and sister Lauren – also donned white outfits.
The ceremony was held at the luxurious Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa.
Other celebrities spotted at the event include on-screen partners Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona, host Tim Yap, and actor Mikael Daez.
Magalona’s sister and matron of honor, Saab, was unable to attend the wedding because of her pregnancy. She is expecting twins.
Magalona and Mananquil first revealed their relationship to the public in 2015.
They got engaged in Japan last February.
