Former Power Rangers Wild Force star Ricardo Medina Jr. has admitted to killing his roommate.

The 38-year-old actor appeared in court in Lancaster, California, on Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to a felony count of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of Josh Sutter, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office tells ET.

Medina also confirmed allegations that he used a sword in the slaying.

Sutter, 36, was killed following an argument with Medina on Jan. 31, 2015. The roommates allegedly got into a disagreement over Medina's girlfriend, which turned physical. Medina subsequently stabbed Sutter multiple times.

Despite his initial self-defense claim, Medina was arrested and charged with murder last year. However, the charge was adjusted to manslaughter, as part of a plea deal.

Medina now faces six years in prison for the fatal incident. He will be sentenced on March 30.
