GAME OF THRONES is set to air its final season in just a few month’s time and have already given fans a taste of what to expect with some teaser trailers. But one star has made a major revelation about the previews.

HBO recently released a trailer which gave Game of Thrones fans a teaser for the upcoming finale.

The clip saw Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) walking through the Crypts of Winterfell.

Each of them faced a statue made in their likeness as the voices of their dead relatives could be heard.

Blue mist then entered the crypts, pointing toward the threat of the White Walkers.

However, despite speculation, Sansa star Sophie has now revealed the trailer isn’t directly related to the events of the show.

“We did this promo for season 8 where — I don’t know if I can say this, actually. Well, actually, no,” she told Winter Is Coming back in 2018.

“It’s got nothing to do with the series; it’s just a promo.

“It was this big kind of statue of me, of Sansa, and I wanted to have it in the garden of my new house.

“But they obviously wouldn’t ship it from Belfast to New York, so…” she concluded.

While the footage from the trailer may not be part of the upcoming series, it doesn’t mean it didn’t contain hints to what may happen.

The clip included one important symbol from previous series in the form of a feather.

It floated down to the ground as Jon walked by the statue of his mother, Lyanna.

The feather was first placed on Lyanna’s statue in the first season when Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) placed it on her.

Sansa could later be seen picking it up as she waked through the crypts last season and walked away with it in her hands.

While that was a hint the trailer wasn’t part of the upcoming series and instead just a little bit of symbolism, it could point to the major part Jon’s ancestry will play in the final.
