ATLANTA, GEORGIA - The Professional Fighters League, the fastest growing and most innovative sports league in the world, kicked off the second half of the 2023 PFL Regular Season with PFL ATL: Featherweight and Light Heavyweight at the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, GA.

The night was capped off by a stunning main event result, which saw Peru’s Jesus “El Mudo” Pinedo clinch a spot in the Playoffs by upsetting 2022 PFL Featherweight Champion Brendan Loughnane of the United Kingdom. Pinedo dropped Loughnane with a knee to the head and finished him off with some heavy ground and pound, extinguishing the Englishman’s hopes at back-to-back title runs.

2021 PFL Featherweight Champion Movlid “The Killer” Khaybulaev on the other hand, continued his reign of dominance by submitting Tyler Diamond in the second round to book his return trip to the PFL Playoffs. Khaybulaev, who missed the 2022 PFL Season due to injury, is on track to regaining the league’s 145-pound title and taking home another million-dollar purse.

In the Light Heavyweight division, Marthin Hamlet earned a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Sam Kei to make his PFL postseason return.

Also clinching spots in the PFL Playoffs were Bubba Jenkins, Gabriel Braga, Josh Silveira, Impa Kasanganay, and Ty Flores.
