Three beloved tales from Severino Reyes take to the Aliw Theater stage until Jan. 2 at 7:00 p.m., with 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. shows on New Year’s Day.

Ang Prinsipe ng Mga Ibon, choreographed by Osias Barroso to music arranged by Mon Faustino, features the search for true love, where the princess chooses to transform into a bird to be with her beloved avian prince.

Labindalawang Masasayang Prinsesa, in turn, was choreographed by Ballet Manila’s artistic director Lisa Macuja-Elizalde and set to music by Arnold Buena.  It features the story of 12 princesses secretly leaving their palace at night and returning with muddy shoes, leaving the king and their governess puzzled.

Meanwhile, Ang Mahiwagang Bituin, using music by National Artist Ryan Cayabyab, with choreography by Tony Fabella, revolves around the tale of a local Pied Piper named Rodrigo, who uses an enchanted violin, and shows how good ultimately triumphs over evil.

Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basyang is offered free to Star City patrons.
