The Countess is ready to focus on her wedding! On Tuesday night, Luann de Lesseps appeared on Watch What Happens Live where the topics of her impending marriage, her feud with Bethenny Frankel, and that explosive Real Housewives of New York City reunion all came up.
When a caller questioned the Countess on her rough relationship with Frankel, she replied, “It makes me sad that she’s so angry with me for no apparent reason, except that, you know, I’m getting married too quick for her taste. I don’t understand why she’s been so angry from the very beginning.”
On the Bravo show, Frankel, 45, showed de Lesseps, 51, a photo of her fiancé, Tom D’Agostino, Jr., kissing another woman days after he proposed, which caused the RHONY star to question her engagement.
The couple worked through their issues, and de Lesseps spoke to ET in August about her decision to move forward with the wedding.
“We love each other,” she said at the time. “I always say if you can’t forgive the people you love, then who can you forgive? I’m not going to let a silly kiss ruin the rest of our lives.”
Frankel feels that de Lesseps is placing the blame on her for showing that D’Agostino had cheated.
“It just was interesting that Luann never mentioned, ‘Oh God, my guy cheated,’” Frankel said on WWHL in August. “It was all me. I’m terrible, I’m the terrible person – shoot the messenger.”
Despite all the drama between them, de Lesseps hopes to one day have a relationship with Frankel again.
“I hope that we can have a friendship again at some point,” she told host Andy Cohen. “You know, I’m happy I wake up happy every day. I hope the same happiness for her.”
The reality star is deep into planning her New Year’s Eve wedding, noting that her ex-husband, The Count, was invited.
“Tom has met the Count,” she revealed. “It was great. They really like each other.”
For her big day, de Lesseps plans to wear three different bridal gowns all designed by Randi Rahm.
